hi there! i just wanted to reply to your questions from my page ^_^ firstly, i use a regular mechanical pencil for all my work, and paper stump blenders. to get really dark spots, i first go over the area with a woodless 9b graphite pencil. then, i use my mechanical pencil and go back over it in even strokes, and do that over and over in different directions 3 or 4 times until its nice and uniformly dark ^_^ your drawing of emma is very nice, keep up the good work, and practice practice practice!
